PLN Gets Involved Related to Powerless Monas Lift

Jakarta Provincial Government will coordinate with State-owned electricity firm (PLN) regarding elevator disruption at National Monument (Monas) on Sunday (5/4). The lift stoppage was caused by lack of electricity supply.

Head of Jakarta Tourism and Culture Dept, Arie Budhiman said, the stoppage of Monas elevator is not because of broken, but due to lacks of electricity. “I have discuss it with the technician, and the incident was caused by low supply,” Budhiman said, Monday (5/5).
Budhiman asserted, preventing similar incident happens again, he and Monas Management Unit will coordinate with Department of Energy and Industry and PLN.
Having Power Declining, Lift in Monas CeasedMeanwhile, Management Unit (UP) of Monas guarantee that the lift can operate again normally. “The lift is go back to normal. The incident just happened for a half hour,” Rini said.
He also send direct apology to Monas visitors due to this uncomfortable incident. Technicians would be prepared to quickly solve the matter if similar incident occurs.
A moment ago, reparation for Monas lift had been finished. So far, the maintenance is still going which done by tender winner. On the weekend, the lift must load more visitor than in usual day. Lift maintenance also needs stable power supply.
